Lorenzo Somis

Op. 3 was published by the Parisian company LeClerc & Boivin in 1725. As well as being a virtuoso violinist, Lorenzo Somis was a talented artist, and among the paintings he produced in Turin included portraits of Antonio Lotti and his own brother, also a virtuoso violinist and composer.

Op. 3 No. 1 has three movements: an Andante followed by two Allegros, the second in triplet time.
