Overture in D, GWV424

This is a glorious French style piece whose majestic outer sections frame a delightful fugue. 
As it was used as the introduction to a grand cantata (Bei Pauken- und Trompetenschall,
written to mark Ernst Ludwig's birthday on 26th December 1726), there are no dance movements to form a suite.
