Overture in F, GWV445

Michael Schneider (who produced this edition) directs La Stagione Frankfurt in the first movement.
The performance was given in the Darmstadt Orangerie during the Graupner-Festtagen, 2010 .

For the fifth movement of this suite, Le Desire, Graupner introduces a flute playing in unison with an oboe
over the pizzicato strings. Whether or not the wind instruments play in the other movements we leave
to the discretion of players, but you will have to order a part specially, if you do want them to join in.
Graupner later "re-cycled" this suite into a sinfonia, which we will also publish.
