Concerto in D, FWV L: D13

Although it is utter speculation, there seems little doubt that this outdoor concerto
was composed to accompany at least part of the fireworks display that was a feature
of the celebrations in Zerbst of the wedding of the young German princess, who would
become Tsarina Catherine the Great, to her Russian suitor.
