Carl Hoeckh

Born in 1707 in Vienna, Carl Hoeckh was widely respected as a violinist and a teacher. Having worked as an itinerant musician for much of his early life, he took the position of Konzertmeister at the small court of Anhalt-Zerbst (where the Kapellmeister was Johann Friedrich Fasch) on the recommendation of Franz Benda (who had been offered the job after performing there).
