Little is known about the 18th-century French violinist, Jean-Baptiste Quentin. His sets of very fine chamber music, however, confirm both his compositional and his performing abilities. Distinctly French, yet well versed in Italian counterpoint, these trios and quartets will appeal to amateurs and professionals alike.
