Cantata for Septuagesima Sunday (the ninth Sunday before Easter) from the 2nd "Lingen" cycle. Long thought lost, this work was discovered in a volume of vocal music by the composer in the Österreichisches Nationalbibliothek in Vienna by the editor with the help of his Telemanniac colleague, David Bellinger. After an opening sinfonia comes an extensive recitative. Two arias in which one voice sings the first section and another the second are separated by a chorale and followed by a tutti in two sections, the second of them contrapuntal in nature.
